Going through the might-publish folders, this caught my eye. It was taken last summer.
Couldnt find an ID. It has horizontal thorax stripes.

Now I know where to look I hope to get some more shots of them. This was a small one, the coiled body about the size of small grapefruit.
Happy to be shooting this at 400mm in all honesty, though the MFD on the lens is restrictive in this situation. Extension tubes or other alternatives recommended if you’re using the Canon 400mm prime.

Taken at colchester Zoo. I used a Canon 100mm f2.8L IS with a cheap circular poloriser to reduce the reflection. It was otter feeding time so there were plenty of oppertunities, great fun.
