Adder at Cudmore Grove

My first Adder. Seen at Cudmore Grove East Mersea – found by a local expert

Now I know where to look I hope to get some more shots of them. This was a small one, the coiled body about the size of small grapefruit.

Happy to be shooting this at 400mm in all honesty, though the MFD on the lens is restrictive in this situation. Extension tubes or other alternatives recommended if you’re using the Canon 400mm prime.
